Once your Google or Microsoft Calendar is connected to your Boost Coach account, events from your external calendar will automatically display on your in-app calendar. These events appear in gray, indicating that they have not been copied into Boost Coach yet.
To fully integrate these events into your Boost Coach workflow, you’ll need to copy them into your account.
Copy an Event into Boost Coach
- Open your in-app calendar and click on any gray event you'd like to copy
- In the event window, select Copy to Boost
- Categorize the Event Type
- Add any attendees from your coaching team
- Choose a Focus Area that aligns with the event
- Optionally, add Notes to the event—the menu dropdown will only appear after an event type has been chosen
- Once you’ve filled out the required fields, click Save
The event will update on your calendar and display in color, indicating it's now part of your Boost Coach records.
Teacher Interactions
Teacher Interaction events represent direct coaching engagements—like feedback sessions, observations, or co-planning meetings. To save a Teacher Interaction, at least one coachee must be added from your Boost Coach account. Once copied into Boost Coach, Teacher Interactions will appear in blue on your calendar, making them easy to spot at a glance.
Coach Responsibilities
Coach Responsibility events include time spent on documentation, professional learning, or meetings unrelated to direct coaching. Coach Responsibility events can be saved without adding team members or with attendees outside of your coaching team. These events will appear pink on your calendar, providing a clear visual distinction between behind-the-scenes work and coaching interactions.
Note: If you edit an event that has been copied to Boost Coach or in your connected calendar, those changes will not sync across. To reflect updates, you’ll need to manually adjust both versions.
