You can use Grades and Tags to organize your staff members and filter your data to help you identify patterns and trends in Boost's Reports.
Assigning Grades
- Navigate to your Staff tab on the left-hand navigation panel.
- At the top of the staff manager, select the Grades tab.
- Locate the staff member to whom you'd like to assign the grades taught.
- Click +Add next to their name and then select the appropriate grade(s) in the drop-down menu.
Note: Grade tags are available to you out-of-the-box, but can be modified for your requirements. If you require adjustments, please get in touch!
Assigning Tags
The Tags capabilities are more versatile than Grades, as you can tailor them to your school's requirements:
- Navigate to your Staff tab on the left-hand navigation panel.
- At the top of the staff manager, select the Tags tab.
- Locate the staff member for whom you'd like to assign tags.
- Click +Add next to their name and then select the desired tag, or if you require something not already in your list:
- Select Create a New Tag
- Type the name of the tag you require in the box
- Click Save and then your new tag will be applied!
You can add anything you like as a new tag. Some of the more popular tags we see used in Boost are:
- Tenured/not tenured
- Years of experience
- Location (if a school has more than one campus)
- Subjects taught
- Department
