We understand how important privacy is in your evaluation and coaching processes. Boost is designed with robust checks in place so you can be sure that staff with ‘Level 1’ access can only see data that is relevant to them—and only when it's been shared intentionally.
Note: 'Level 1' refers to the access level granted to staff in the roster in Boost. This level is assigned to any staff member who is evaluated or coached in a group, and should not have administrative access to your school's account and the data of other staff members. Find out more in this help doc.

Level 1 Dashboard
The My Profile dashboard for Level 1 staff members is a personalized, private space for staff to reflect on feedback, track their progress, and take action on their own professional learning. It is streamlined, with simpler navigation compared to the dashboards of administrative users (Levels 2–4).
Left-hand navigation panel:
- Staff can access a list of their own forms, goals, or next steps in the Activities section.
- The Reports section includes access to the Insights Summary, which only displays a Level 1 staff member’s personal data—such as feedback from completed and shared forms. No school-wide reporting or peer data is visible.
- If your organization uses our specialized summative or video observation tools, then your staff will have access to those features on this panel. If you do not use these tools, then these options remain hidden.
Personal Dashboard sections
Each Level 1 staff member has a dashboard tailored to their individual growth and development. Here’s what it includes:
Active Goals:
- This section displays all open goals for the current school year. Select View All Goals to see the full list of drafted, in-progress, or completed goals.
- Clicking View Goal navigates to a goal page, or the goal summary page, for easy editing, printing, or signing.
- Quickly view any associated focus areas and track progress on any linked next steps.
- Note: some organizations may have special words for this type of activity in Boost.
Recent Activity
- This section displays a timeline of recent forms and events relevant to the staff member, including:
- Forms authored by the staff member (e.g. self-reflections).
- Forms that have been completed and shared with them (e.g. observations).
- Forms they've been notified about when created.
- Additional forms can be accessed through the full Forms List or Calendar.
Next Steps
- This area functions like a personal to-do list of pending next steps created by themselves, or within forms or goals. Any resources attached to next steps will also display.
- Staff can edit, remove, or complete next steps using the three-dot menu.
- Note: some organizations may have special words for this type of activity in Boost.
Coaching Cycle (for Coach Customers only)
- If your school uses Boost’s coaching tools, this section will show whether the staff member is currently in an active coaching cycle and for how long.
- Any previous cycles from the current school year will also be listed.
Form summary page
If a Level 1 staff member is not an author of a form, they will not be able to access the 'edit' page, nor will they be able to see the contents on the summary page until the form has been completed and shared with them. Find out the answers to the most frequently asked questions below:
Q: How has a staff member been able to access the form summary while the form is in progress?
If the box to 'notify the teacher' about this form was checked when the form was created (as per this help article), an email notification is sent out letting the staff member know the date, author, and form type that has been scheduled. At this point, the form also appears as 'scheduled' on your staff member's dashboard, although they can only access the form summary page and not the form's contents.
Q: What does 'teacher viewed on' in the Form Timeline mean?
The Form Timeline on the summary page only tracks if a teacher has accessed the form summary page. However, until an evaluation form is completed and shared with the teacher, they can only see the meta dataon the form (i.e. the title and date) and are actively prevented from seeing the form contents. Instead of the contents, a teacher will see the message:
This form is in progress and not yet shared.
If you need access to this form, please contact your observer.
Q: How can I verify what the teacher sees on a form summary page at any time?
To reassure you about what's visible to your teaching staff on a form summary page, you can preview that specific page as its topic/your staff member. To do so, click 'Actions' in the top right of the page, and select 'Preview as teacher'. You will then be 'ghosting' your staff member to see what they can see when they access the page itself.
