If you've encountered an issue with the Sketch tool - whether the page isn't loading at all, or you're experiencing issues with some of the functionality - it may be due to a JavaScript error or conflict.
To help the Boost team streamline the troubleshooting process and diagnose the cause of the error quickly, it helps when contacting Support to include the following information:
Step 1
On the page you are experiencing the error, open the JavaScript console:
Chrome: Navigate to View > Developer > JavaScript Console or More Tools > JavaScript Console or press
Ctrl + Shift + J
Edge: Navigate to More Tools > Developer Tools or press
F12
on your keyboardSafari: First ensure the Develop menu is available: navigate to Safari > Preferences > Advanced, then check the 'Show Develop menu in menu bar' option. Once the Develop menu has been enabled, navigate to Develop > Show JavaScript Console
Firefox: Navigate to Tools > Web Developer > Error Console or press
Ctrl + Shift + J
on your keyboard
Step 2
Take a screenshot of your full screen at this point, showing the error on Sketch, the open console, and your browser's address bar -- this site has super clear instructions on how to do this if required.
Step 3
Find out your current browser version: accessing this website will provide you with this information.
Step 4
Open a support ticket here with (1) the details of the issue you are experiencing, including a screenshot of the error & console and (2) your browser details. We'll take it from there!
