If you need to temporarily stop or set aside a goal as priorities shift during the school year, you can do so using the Pause Goal feature—even if the goal hasn’t been achieved. Paused goals can be reactivated at any time, and all progress and history is preserved.
How to pause a Goal
Goal-based work doesn’t always move forward continuously. Shifts in schedules, capacity, or priorities may require you to pause a goal without marking it as achieved.
To pause a goal:
Open the goal you want to pause
Click the gray Actions button in the top-right
Select Pause Goal from the dropdown menu
Once a goal is paused, it is removed from reports and the staff profile page to reduce clutter. The goal remains fully accessible on the Goals page, and all progress, comments, evidence, and action steps are preserved.
Resume a goal
If you want to revisit a goal later in the year, open the paused goal, click Actions, and select Resume Goal. The goal will return to an active state so you can continue working on it where you left off.
